BENCHES/Benker
“I met the benches in Neptun, north of Mangalia in Romania in August 2008. They were weathered and beautiful. I photographed them, sat on them, and looked out over the Black Sea. Back in Tromsø, I found one of their relatives by the Arctic Ocean.
With a beautiful view over our sea, or our Tromsøysund, I want to create a possible meeting place for a few days during SEAS. It is an invitation to sit on each others benches and listen to each others views and stories.” Arvid Sveen, June 2009
