Due to the fact that off-road driving is illegal in norway, you have to cross border to enjoy this special kind of winter activity. Kilpisjärvi (Northern Sami: Gilbbesjávri) is just 160km from Tromsø, it is place where three borders meet - Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish.
