Tromsdalstind (Tromsdalstinden) is a highest peak around Tromsø. Altough its 1236 meter high, its quite easy to reach in summer, or just moderate in winter. From the top you can see: in western direction island Tromsøya on which city is located in the background mountains on Kvaløya island, in southern direction you can see smaller peaks on both sides of Balfjord, in eastern spectacular panorama of Lyngen Alps with highest peak in Troms county
- Jiehkkevárri (also known as Jiekkevarri or Jiekkevarre) - its also know to have the second largest primary factor among Norwegian mountains. It raise for 1,833 metres (6,014 ft). Its summit is ice-capped and any ascent involves a crossing of crevassed glaciers - its ascent is therefore for experienced mountaineers only.
